Dinosaur Dumpster "Misplaced" in Bay View
After a 3 month investigation, Milwaukee's Resource Recovery Coalition has solved the mystery of the abandoned dumpster. The 30 yard Dinosaur Dumpster was not actually abandoned on the corner of Kinnickinnic and Ellen-it was accidentally misplaced there.
Last November, two attentive Bay View residents spotted the Dinosaur Dumpster while walking North along Kinnickinnic Avenue around 7:15p.m. They immediately contacted the Resource Recovery Coalition to alert them to the jurisdictional mix-up. The RRC moved quickly to investigate the matter.
Although the mystery has been solved, not all locals are happy. Residents involved in the case of the Dinosaur Dumpster raised some personal concerns. One resident called dumpster use "environmentally neglectful" and another called Dinosaur Dumpsters "poorly designed, and a mis-allocation of resources".
