B.V Curbside collects 1046 lbs of e-waste with the help of Sweet Water

With the help of Sweet Water Organics, Bay View Curbside was able to collect, store, and subsequently recycle 1046/lbs of electronic waste in December 2012. Of that 1046lbs, approximately 40% was computers, 35% was cathode ray tube devices such as televisions and computer monitors and the rest was mostly printers, DVD players and cell phones. These numbers will be reported sometime in 2013 by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Thanks again to Todd Leech for providing storage space as well as a convenient drop off point for community members wishing to donate or safely recycle end-of-use electronics. B.V.
