"Buying less junk" not part of Milwaukee's future

"Buying less junk" conspicuously absent from 109 page Sustainability document. Some speculate that the private sector has been steering the Green Team away from curbing commerce (aka-buying less junk) in favor of the secret "stakeholders".

B. Vanster performed a manual word search to verify the speculation. The prominent words or phrases most notable to, and in, the Refresh document, tell the story.

After an exhaustive search, the speculation was true. "Buying less junk" was not included in the document. Not a mention. On the other hand, "private sector was written into the document 11 times, while "stakeholder" was written in 25 times.

We can only conclude from the data that Milwaukee will be buying, wasting, and disposing more junk in 2015. And it will be the private sector and some secret stakeholders that stand to gain from this tragic, and indeed, ironic, turn of events.
