Makerspace in Bay View, WI / 2555 South Lenox Street

The Milwaukee Makerspace is a welcome addition to the Bay View neighborhood. I would describe the space as a factory of mini-labs, that combine traditional industrial machinery with modern digital technology. The current culture is made up mostly of hackers, engineers, architects, "gadget gods" and the occasional low-tech, liberal arts guy (me),  who joins for the simple reason that he thinks the  Bay View Space is totally cool.

"I think the Milwaukee Makerspace is the most important organization in the city of Milwaukee in 2013." It appears, unlike any other collaborative space in the area, to be uniquely set up to meet Milwaukee's growing demand for creative resource sharing,, as well as the implementation of sustainable business projects.  I don't see a better alternative for skills training or biz start-ups than this space.

The perfect opportunity maybe awaiting you at the Milwaukee Makerspace. For anyone interested in a tour or signing a one month trial membership, please stop by on Tuesdays at 7:00p.m.  Our Operations Director will gladly give you a tour.

* Don't Forget-Milwaukee Maker Fest will be held on Saturday October 19, 2013. We welcome your participation.
